I've created an RSS Feed for my blog here in LJ. Unbelievably, someone already had "unchartedlove." Most distressingly, it seems to be a teenybopper who hasn't posted since 2006. Can we petition to have a journal removed on grounds of non-use?, anyhow, the name I created is [livejournal.com profile] uncharted_love. You can add it to your Friends List, and you should get automatic updates whenever I post to the blog. Conversely, you can subscribe to the feed directly outside of LJ as well: http://blog.unchartedlove.com/?feed=rss2. I have made some posts, including the one earlier tonight called Spit for Science!".

In other news, I made a fairly big change here just now. I changed the default post settings back to "public." It's reasonably likely that I'll still continue to post my more private musings at least behind a basic Friends-lock. But it seemed to me that it was time to loosen the illusion of privacy. The things that caused me to tighten things up in the distant past are much less likely to cause me trouble these days.

And a Note To Self: Caffeine after noon is BAD. Do we really need to keep taking data on this? Honestly. I know Coke is tasty, but this not sleeping at night thing is really not good.

Caffeine is such a delicious drug (coffee! tea! chocolate!!!) - but so evil. I need to keep reminding myself of my desire to maintain a normal sleep schedule, but it never works. :o(

Indeed. Sorting out the complex interactions of meds and caffeine and sleep is extra speshul, let me add.

Caffeine-free coke exists. Just sayin' ... :-)

Yes, but caffeine-free Coke *with sugar* (and no Aspartame) is unfortunately rare. Certainly one does not find it in the fountain drinks at the local Nation's Burgers. *sigh* Shoulda had the orange soda. Again.

Ah, I don't have a problem with the Aspartame ... you're right, I don't think I've ever actually seen a caffeine free coke that wasn't also a "diet" coke with sweeteners instead of sugar. I do tend to avoid caffeine and also sugar in soft drinks whenever I can. Do Aspartame-free drinks exist much or are you severely limited if you can't take the aspartame?

choices--all bad

Some exist that are Aspartame-free, usually with Splenda or a combo of Splenda and Acesulfame Potassium. I'm pretty sure that Aspartame is flat-out bad for me (and for many). Splenda seems ok for me, but we never know when some new study will show that it makes our nose fall off on the 999th usage or something! In general, I believe that more natural is better, which tends to indicate sugar over fake sugar. But even there, in the US that's usually HFCS, which is arguably not good either. I don't like coffee. I don't like tea (much).

Water gets awfully dull after a while, though I do drink a lot of it!
